The University of Nottingham is ranked in the UK\u2019s Top 10 & World\u2019s Top 75 universities by the Shanghai Jiao Tong (SJTU) & QS World University Rankings.<\/p>\n

The University provides innovative & top quality teaching, undertakes world-changing research & attracts talented staff & students from 150 nations. Described by The Times as \u201cthe nearest Britain has to a truly global university\u201d, it has invested continuously in award-winning campuses in the United Kingdom, China & Malaysia.<\/p>\n

The University of Nottingham were looking for a local company that could provide SIP trunks into their current PBX network.<\/p>\n

\n11,000 analogue telephone users over to this technology over a number of years.[\/vc_column_text] [vc_empty_space height=”60px”][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”1\/4″][vc_custom_heading text=”Solution” font_container=”tag:h4|text_align:left” use_theme_fonts=”yes”][vc_empty_space height=”20px”][\/vc_column][vc_column width=”3\/4″][vc_column_text]The University of Nottingham connected their SIP telephony system to N4Engage, making full use of the trunks for outbound calls.<\/p>\n

Direct Dial numbers were later ported over from another provider to N4Engage to give a local number presence at the School of Nursing site in Mansfield. N4Engage have provided DDI ranges for other remote Nursing centres in Lincoln, Boston & Grantham via the link at Nottingham.<\/p>\n

Anthony Tunley, Telecoms Group Leader said, \u201cAfter the success of SIP trunking, we had an urgent requirement for internet connectivity for our commercial tenants. We were experiencing congestion problems with our existing commercial link & needed a quick resolution. N4Engage were able to provide an extremely competitive cost to provide a link in a timely manner. The connection was installed & has solved our problems.\u201d<\/p>\n
